To pinpoint the root of the issue, I used muscle testing to assess strength imbalances. The lower trapezius showed weakness, affecting the scapula’s ability to stay in a stable position. I applied isometric contractions to wake up the lower traps and improve activation.

2️⃣ Active Release & Deep Tissue Massage
The pec minor and pec major were excessively tight, pulling the shoulder forward. Using Active Release Techniques (ART) combined with deep tissue massage, I targeted the deep fascia to release restrictions and restore mobility.

3️⃣ Levator Scapula Release for Neck Pain
Since the scapula was abducted, the levator scapula was constantly engaged, contributing to neck pain. By releasing this muscle with manual therapy and specific stretch techniques, I helped reposition the scapula and reduce strain on the neck.

The Results: A Stronger, Pain-Free Shoulder

After the session, my client felt a significant reduction in pain and improved shoulder mobility. By addressing both the stabilizing muscles and the deep fascial restrictions, we restored balance in his shoulder complex.

Correcting Anterior Pelvic Tilt and Lower Crossed Syndrome

Next, I focused on the lower body issues. The client exhibited signs of anterior pelvic tilt—tight hip flexors, an overly arched lower back, and tight hamstrings. My approach included:

  • Psoas Release: I used myofascial release techniques on the psoas to ease tension and help the pelvis realign.
  • Hamstring Strengthening and Relaxation: First, I strengthened the hamstrings to support proper pelvic alignment, and then I applied post-relaxation techniques to gently release any residual tightness.
  • Osteopathic Manipulation: I performed adjustments on the T2 vertebra, sacrum, and L4-L5 segment to realign the spine and pelvis, reducing lower back discomfort.

Healing an Ankle Sprain with Foot Massage

The client was also dealing with an ankle sprain. I incorporated gentle foot massages and mobilisation exercises to improve circulation, flexibility, and overall mobility, which supported their recovery.

Hi Everyone , in this micro-post I will address this question : Is Deep Tissue Massage helpful with cellulite?

If you go and research on PUBMED, NCBI there are dozen of studies asserting that massage therapy helps in reducing the appearance of cellulite.

Deep Tissue Massage stretches the skin tissue , redistribute fat cells and improve circulation and lymphatic drainage as well. Those are definitely the keys to make your skin glowing of new life but it’s not a permanent fix.

I believe as Personal Trainer that exercise, diet in conjunction with Massage will help your skin to look better. That’s all you need period! Some experts of “Cellulite Massage” will tell you that there are specific kind of techniques that only them can apply to get rid of Cellulite. BS sorry!

What you need is a massage that stretches the fibrous connectives cords that tether with the skin to the underlying muscle.
